Applied Radiators Ltd are experts in vintage car radiator repair across Stoke-on-Trent and have years of experience in working on a huge range of classic makes and models. Find out when to fix your radiator or when to opt for an upgrade with this expert advice from our team.

Repair or upgrade?

That’s the question. Do you want your vintage car radiator to be repaired to its previous state, or will you consider some simple upgrades that will preserve the look of your vehicle whilst improving performance and efficiency? The problem with a simple repair is that you’re probably going to run into the same problems over and over, and will therefore need to repair repeatedly, while also risking long-term damage to your engine if it isn’t being cooled effectively. Therefore, upgrading your radiator system may well be the smart choice to preserve your vintage car in the long run.

What upgrades are available?

While we can easily replace original honeycomb, cellular and tinned film cores commonly found in classic car radiators, we can instead use GOT or packed reconstruction cores for more efficient cooling. This helps to protect your engine from regular overheating, allowing your classic car to stay in peak condition for longer.

Comprehensive re-core and rebuild options

At Applied Radiators Ltd, we deliver vintage car radiator repair Stoke-on-Trent-wide, which includes our complete re-core and rebuild option, where we strip down your radiator, replace the core with your chosen option, and rebuild it from scratch before testing thoroughly and painting. The resulting build will allow your car to run more efficiently and will help to avoid the need for major repairs in the future, because your engine will be better protected from overheating.
